Just gonna use it to explore mangroves and fight boat wake.On/off switch is easily flipped so you'll be scooting around and just lose power and have to turn on again.

- Our outboard engine has been upgraded with built-in gear oil, so there is no need to add gear oil to the gear box!
- The engine oil should not exceed 240ml; otherwise, it may overflow and cause the engine to stall after running for a period of time.
- Recommended fuel: 93# unleaded gasoline.
- Recommended engine oil: 4-stroke outboard motor oil.
- Add gasoline and engine oil to the designated containers accordingly. (One container for gasoline and another for engine oil.) Do not mix gasoline with engine oil.

Great outboard! Its much faster and quieter than I even expected. Great idea to use this type of motor also. Its super light so easy to move. Its a pleasure to be able to clean off my barnacles without straining to lift a motor. Nice bright color, ive gotten many compliments at the boat ramp here in Miami, its really very cool.
Shipping was quick. The light weight 4hp Cukusin Model 144 was shipped quickly. The plastic engine shroud and a few other items were damaged in shipping. Cukusin customer support worked with me to get all issues resolved. Put it on a 2 man Craftsman Crawdad boat. On the first trip out, we were able to maneuver to some prime fishing spots along the river. We caught over 30 fish that day. The motor pushed the boat upriver adequately. It is not a speed boat motor. Glad I bought it.

It's definitely a budget product, so I don't expect it to work as well as a $1000 Honda motor, but it gets the job done!
Edit after a summer of (ab)use: The propeller protector broke off. The engine also randomly skips or sputters, so I'm guessing it just needs to get tuned up or something, which I won't do. I literally dumped this engine in the water a few times and it still runs fine. The throttle spring is now loose so sometimes the engine won't slow down completely.
Overall it's very reliable and won't break down, which is very nice to have with a four-stroke in this price range.
If you aren't as concerned about reliability, you could look for a similar price range for a used four-stroke that would require more maintenance, and probably give better performance.

You know what you're buying if you get one of these. It's a bit louder than a name brand but does the same thing. I'm sticking it on a canoe and have no intentions of trying to break a water speed record. Just gonna use it to explore mangroves and fight boat wake.
Throttle is a bit finicky, sometimes sticks.
On/off switch is easily flipped so you'll be scooting around and just lose power and have to turn on again.

This little motor is great for my needs. I have a little sail boat and this motor gets me out of the harbor and into the wind at a gentle 3 mph. Which is plenty, I never have to worry about wake! An added plus is that it's air cooled so I don't have to worry about fouling an impeller, you can run this thing in a tea spoon of water. It also weighs 20 pounds, when compared to others in its class, this is virtually nothing. Love this little thing
