How to Choose a Shaft for Your Outboard Motor
To determine the shaft length required for your boat, take out a measuring tape and measure the height of the back-end of the boat from top to bottom in the middle of the stern. Your shaft length should be about two inches longer than this.
Some shaft can be adjusted, like the CUKUSIN 4-stroke outboard motor.
Some Shaft was fixed size, like above water cooling motor.
But the standard to let the motor release the best performance is that the anti-swirl plate just in water level.
